How to Use Q-Clubs
back to Q-Clubs

Participating in the clubs:
All clubs are public and open to anyone. There is no provision for "private" clubs. Please note that clubs that remain inactive for more than a month may be deleted to conserve resources!

Posting suggestions:
Many QuitNet forums are very, very busy. Adhering to standard "netiquette" makes both clubs and forums more pleasant for everyone:

  • Reply to an existing message when appropriate instead of starting a new discussion/thread. This keeps the Active Discussion list much more manageable.
  • Don't use all caps in your subject or message. Placing text in all-caps is considered "shouting"; try to avoid it unless you really do want to annoy people.
  • Do use a meaningful subject line. If you don't, people may never get around to reading your message!
  • Don't start a new discussion without writing anything (i.e., "No Text"). When there are many new discussions in a single day it becomes difficult to navigate.
